What is Our Pick?
Our Pick is an independent UK comparison site covering the products people actually buy for their homes, from dehumidifiers and electric blankets to air fryers, cordless vacuums and cot beds. Each buyer’s guide names the one product we would buy ourselves, then ranks the alternatives by the job each one does best, so you can see quickly which is right for your home and budget.
How we research every guide
We compare the live listings, the manufacturers’ published specs and the owner reviews, including the one to three star ones that reveal long-term problems. We judge each product on the two or three specs that decide the purchase, such as running cost, capacity or noise, rather than the longest feature list. We don’t test products hands-on, so we never claim to.
Live prices and honest stock notes
Prices and availability are pulled live from retailers and refreshed through the day, so the figure you see is the figure you pay at checkout. When a pick is out of stock we say so, and point you to the alternative we would choose instead.
What we’d skip
Every guide ends with the products, features and marketing claims we think you should avoid, from inflated pump pressures on coffee machines to tropical test ratings on dehumidifiers. Knowing what not to buy is often the quickest way to the right choice.
