How we pick

OurPick exists to end the comparison paralysis. For each category we research the products UK buyers actually consider, compare them on the two or three specs that decide the purchase, and name a single clear winner. Then we rank the rest by the job each one does best.

Our principles

• Answer first. We tell you the winner in the first paragraph, not the tenth.
• Honest about downsides. Every pick lists real cons, and we keep a “what we’d skip” section for the traps.
• Real prices, kept current. Prices and stock are pulled live from retailers and refreshed regularly, so the figure you see is the figure you pay.
• Independence. We earn an affiliate commission when you buy through our links, but that never changes which product wins.
